One of the people to whom I paid tribute on my recital was the renowned lyricist Alan Jay Lerner, best known for penning the book and lyrics to such towering Broadway classics as My Fair Lady, Camelot and Brigadoon.  2018 marks the 100th anniversary of his birthday.  But I chose to sing something from their movie musical Gigi since 2018 marks the 60th anniversary of that wonderful film’s premiere.  (P.S.- I asked Kathy if she would join me in the duet “I remember it well,” which is also from this show- and something we have sung together many times- but she preferred to remain in the audience on this occasion.  But if you look elsewhere on my Listen page you should be able to find a recording from when we sang this duet on one of my earlier recitals. It’s a lot of fun.)
