This is part two of my interview with Weston Noble, which we recorded back in the fall of 2007, in the midst of the year he spent as conductor-in-residence of the Carthage Choir.

In this portion of the interview,  he discusses his experiences as a student at Luther – his military service – and his first job as a music teacher.

It was impossible to deeply explore such an interesting life and career in a 49-minute interview … and this particular section of the interview is where I felt that frustration most acutely.  How especially wish I had been able to ask him more about his student days at Luther.

(The photo is from when Mr. Noble visited the elementary school where my wife Kathy teaches elementary music.)
