This is the opening of my 2007 radio interview with Weston Noble. It is in this portion of his interview that he talks about his childhood. (More excerpts to follow.)
The musical excerpt which precedes the interview features the Nordic Choir and the Luther Orchestra in the closing measures of Sir William Walton’s Coronation Te Deum. This was a musical centerpiece in the inauguration of Luther president H. George Anderson that year- but this particular performance is from the Luther concert at Orchestra Hall in Minneapolis.
Greg, Have you considered providing a copy of this interview to the archives at Luther?
What an interesting idea. I should maybe do that. Perhaps I should contact someone at Preus Library. I’m guessing that’s where the archives are housed. Thanks for the suggestion.
