Here’s  another fun moment from the 1999 Carthage Christmas Festival, for old time’s sake.  The concert opened with the Carthage Choir men singing “Rise Up, Shepherd, and Follow” from the back balcony.  After a brief reading, the women of the Carthage Choir answered with “Shepherds, Shake Off Your Drowsy Sleep” with Jeanette Rantisi and Lydia Wilhelmi as soloists-   and the guys quietly finding their way to the back of the chapel ground floor in time to join in the final cadence. echoing the six-part chord of the women on “Noel!”   They sing that SO well and it serves up a fun surprise for the audience.   <Note: this is from back in the days when there was applause through the course of the concert.>
