Here is a beautiful song from Lionel Bart’s “Oliver” and a performance of it by Caritas-  Kate Potter Barrow,  Kathy (my wife)  and me.  I suspect that it had been at least five years since the three of us had last sung this together- and we only managed to rehearse it the night before. Fortunately,  the three of us have been together long enough that some of these songs almost sing themselves.

What you’re hearing here is not precisely what was heard on the recital.  At one point during the song,  a pesky fly nearly went down Kate’s throat – necessitating a brief pause (and a good laugh from the audience.)   I edited out that comical moment. but maybe someday I’ll post a complete version of this as well.  Kate handled the moment with her typical good humor and grace.
