This is one of two love duets I sang with my wife, Kathy. As I say in my spoken introduction, she sang this at the end of every performance of the RTG’s production of “Glorious” in which she starred as the infamous amateur singer Florence Foster Jenkins. My own history with this wonderful Cole Porter song (from “Kiss me Kate”) dates back to my junior year in high school when I sang this for music contest with a senior named Mary McDermott. She was a really fine singer and performing this with her was the best introduction to this song that I could have possibly had! But of course there’s nothing better than getting to sing this with the love of my life!
